The first lesson with each new student is a 30-minute trial. The student pays the full trial price, and you keep your usual 70% - the same flat rate as every lesson. At the end of the trial the student decides whether to carry on with you.

I confirm I am 21 or older; I have never been convicted of, charged with, or investigated for any offence against a child; I will keep all contact on-platform and never contact a minor outside Bantu Plaza; and I agree to provide a recent police clearance certificate if Bantu Plaza asks. I understand "Kids welcome" is granted only after Bantu Plaza reviews this, and can be removed at any time. I confirm the documents I've uploaded are genuine and belong to me, and I consent to Bantu Plaza using them to verify my identity as described in the Terms. I confirm I am legally allowed to offer paid language tutoring from my country, and that I am responsible for any registration, licence or tax my country requires. I understand Bantu Plaza tutors are independent tutors, not employees, and not registered schoolteachers. I have read and agree to the Tutor Agreement, including its commission, payout, conduct, safeguarding and anti-disintermediation terms.

* About the “$600–$1,200/month part-time” figure. Calculated as 20–30 hours of paid lessons per month at hourly rates of $20–$50/hour, net of Bantu Plaza’s flat 30% commission. Your actual earnings depend on your hourly rate, hours delivered, lesson type, and student retention - and are not guaranteed. We charge one flat 30% commission on every lesson, so you keep 70% from your very first lesson - no tiers and no ladder. A new student’s first lesson with you is a 30-minute trial: the student pays the full trial price and you keep your usual 70%, the same flat rate as every lesson. After the trial the student simply chooses whether to carry on with you. Trials are paid in full and are non-refundable. Full commission disclosure: see Terms §4a.
